About me:

I love love love this crazy Lark family.   My daddy started telling stories about   growing up with 11 brothers and sisters and crazy cousins when I was very young.  My daddy's stories, the diversity of my aunts and uncles that I did know, and annual day visits to my cousin's Bob Clark's home for family reunions fueled my natural desire to know more about the Lark's.  I started in earnest researching the Lark family in my early 20s.   Of course, life often got in the way-- but, I always went back searching searching searching and often making some pretty wild family discoveries.  I've made several trips to Russell County, Virginia and Kentucky resarching and meeting family.  Documenting this family has really been a labor of love over the last 30+ years.

I have two beautiful grown daughters and a wonderful extended family in Oregon including three beautiful grandchildren.  I worked for the Government from 1976 to April 2016 -- when I retired with 40 years of Federal Service.  Most of my Federal Service I was employed by the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC.  Although my career was rewarding, I'm looking forward to to working on this crazy family more as there are still many Lark mysteries to be solved!

I was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina; grew up outside of Andrews Air Force Base in Clinton, Maryland; currently live in Southern Maryland but have a wonderful small condo in a old school house built circa 1920 in "the Sailing Capital of North Carolina", Oriental.

In addition to genealogy, I love photography and own way too many Nikon camera to fuel this passion.  See my pics at on flickr and Fine Art America.
